Alexandre Custaud serves as the Chief Executive Officer of ISA – Intelligence & Science Applications, overseeing the comprehensive management of the organization.

As a seasoned CBRNe (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive) expert, Mr. Custaud has extensive experience in fact-finding missions and training initiatives across Maghreb, Sahel, West Africa, GCC and Central Asia. 

Commencing his career as the Coordinator of the European Task Force on Bioterrorism at EuropaBio - The European Association for Biotechnology Industry, Mr. Custaud actively participated in several Green Papers, including those addressing Detection Technologies and Bio-Preparedness. His insights were regularly sought to contribute to the EU CBRN Action Plan.

Mr. Custaud holds multiple master's degrees in Economics and Mathematics from Aix-Marseille University (AMU) and the Political Science Institute (IEP) in Aix-en-Provence, France. Additionally, he earned an MBA in Strategic Intelligence from the Ecole de Guerre Economique in Paris, established by the former head of the French Army Intelligence Training Centre.

His involvement encompasses various CBRN Capacity Building projects, including P.35, P.41, P.55, P.69, P.71, P.82, P.88, P.95, P.99 supported by the European Commission FPI (Foreign Policy Instruments) under the EU CBRN Centers of Excellence Initiative. 

Actively engaged in numerous research and development projects, under several EU funding instruments such as FP7, H2020, JIP-CBRN, Horizon Europe, Mr. Custaud has been elected as the Vice-Chairman of IMG-S TA6 CBRNe. His contributions to Security Research in Europe date back to the PASR in 2005.

Before joining ISA, Mr. Custaud held positions in various consultancy firms located in Singapore, The Netherlands, Belgium, and France, focusing on CBRN, including medical and non-medical countermeasures. He led research projects and studies funded by EDA, NATO, DG HOME, DG MOVE, among others.
